Sanyu

(Pronounced San-Yoo)

Hey, I’m Sanyu your NYU Skin Studio skin facialist with a story (and skin) that’s seen it all.

Like many of us, my journey started with hyperpigmentation caused by PCOS and a bathroom shelf full of DIY masks, turmeric mishaps, and every “natural remedy” you could think of. My skin was talking — and I finally listened.

My sister introduced me to the world of Korean skincare just before lockdown, and let’s just say… I never looked back. The science, the layering, the glow? I was hooked. But as I travelled the world, gained more experience and tapped into my own roots, I realised something important: while Korean skincare is innovative and brilliant, African skincare has always known the power of botanicals. From qasil to baobab, African beauty has been been a force for generations.

So I created NYU Skin Studio — a space that blends Korean science with African naturals. It’s personal, professional, and rooted in love. We specialise in facials for all skin types, with a soft spot for melanin-rich skin that’s too often forgotten in mainstream skincare. My belief? If it’s inclusive to melanin, it’s inclusive to all.

We don’t do gimmicks. Just thoughtful, effective treatments that celebrate your skin story, whatever chapter you’re in.

Let’s start your skin journey — the NYU way.
